The Shape of Us and Other Stuff

We read the book The Shape of Us and Other Stuff by Dr. Seuss.  They my students created portraits of themselves and drew the shape of their head.  This idea cam from Rachelle's blog What the Teacher Wants.

I thought it was creative and unique that one of my students came up with the idea to lay his head down on the desk and trace the profile of his face.  Here is the shape of him.

One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish

Read this book with my students and created a scattered rhyming word page for them to find and circle rhyming words.  The idea to create this scattered rhyming words page for my students came from this lesson plan.

Nothing will come up when you click print screen. Just simply go into MS Word or whatever program you would like to paste your image in and click paste. You can then crop the picture to concentrate on just the splatter art created.
